DJ Jane Dupree’s musical journey began in high school, where she played guitar during church services, showcasing her innate talent and passion for music. It wasn’t until her college years that she discovered DJing—a revelation that changed everything. At Middle Tennessee State University, Dupree launched House Nation, a college radio show on WMTS, where her love for dance music ignited and set the foundation for a remarkable career.

From her vinyl-spinning beginnings to becoming the first artist signed to Forsheema Records, Dupree has continually broken boundaries. She has shared the stage with luminaries such as Lizzo, Crystal Waters, DJ Colette, First Lady Jill Biden, Angel X, Questlove, Big Freedia, Tinashe, La Bouche, Wilson Phillips, Junior Vasquez, The Blessed Madonna, and Bob the Drag Queen. Her journey includes high-energy sets at events like the legendary Dinah Shore Weekend, Nashville Pride Fest, Breakaway Music Fest, and branching into country music through Y’all Country, a groundbreaking project by Colors Worldwide. As a resident DJ, she is set to bring her genre-blending expertise to their 2025 North American tour.

Her production work has also garnered critical acclaim. Dupree’s remix of Jealousy for the Gattison Jealousy Remix Album debuted at #1 on iTunes Dance Albums and charted at #12 on the UK Music Week Commercial Dance Charts. Additionally, she has contributed to the Future Everything annual compilation, solidifying her status as a forward-thinking artist unafraid to push sonic boundaries.

Beyond the decks, Dupree has appeared in Jake Owen’s Down to the Honkytonk music video and on multiple episodes of Nashville, further cementing her influence across entertainment mediums.

Now a Nashville mainstay and a staunch advocate for representation in music, DJ Jane Dupree is more than a DJ—she’s a storyteller, a boundary-breaker, and a cultural bridge. Whether she’s spinning house, techno, pop, country, or anything in between, her music connects, uplifts, and moves every dance floor it touches.
